Strikes are assigned by finishing position: 4-player groups: 0 / 0 / X / X 3-player groups: 0 / 0 / X 2-player groups: 0 / X Collect 3 strikes total and you are eliminated from the tournament. No Finals. This is a true knockout event - survive until you’re the last player standing. Depending on the field and group sizes, this could move FAST (in some cases, it may be over in as few as 3 rounds). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ BOUNTY RULE (CHIP / TOKEN / TCHOTCHKE): - Each player receives one bounty item at the start (exact item TBD). - Keep it until you’re knocked out. - When you’re eliminated, hand your bounty item to the player who WON your group that round. - Do not give your COLLECTED bounties to the winner when you are knocked out, only the bounty item you received at the start of competition. - After you are knocked out, give collected bounty items back to TD for $5 each. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PRIZES: - First place gets a trophy - 3 or 4 players will get lucky (see below) - For the rest of the players, the bounties effectively serve as the prize fund. Even though this is a strikes format, it absolutely makes sense to play for 1st and to win your group whenever you can. The more groups you win, the more bounties you stack!
